If it could only be this easy…
Here is a solution that is circulating the internet:
> Hi Pals,
> I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
> Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We
> Deserve It Dividend.
> To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide
> U.S. Citizens 18+.
> Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and
> child.. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
> So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals
> $425,000.00.
> My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It> Dividend..
> Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
> So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.> Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
> That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
> But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
> A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
> What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
> Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
> Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
> Put away money for college - it’ll be there
> Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
> Buy a new car - create jobs
> Invest in the market - capital drives growth
> Pay for your parent’s medical insurance - health care improves
> Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
> Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
> who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that
> is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
> If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it…instead
> of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( ‘vote buy’ ) economic incentive that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.
> If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every> adult U S Citizen 18+!
> As for AIG - liquidate it.
> Sell off its parts.
> Let American General go back to being American General.

$700 billion bail out
“Its being described as the largest government intervention in private markets since the Great Depression. The Bush administration has asked Congress to swiftly approve a massive $700 billion package to rescue the crippled financial institutions on Wall Street. Some analysts say the final cost to taxpayers could top one trillion dollars. Over the weekend, the size of the proposed bailout grew as the Bush administration said foreign banks, including Barclays and UBS, should be eligible for the bailout”
I wanted to know more about the $700 billion bail out and found these two videos very explanatory on the subject. After viewing I have to conclude that giving and I mean Just Giving( for their bad debt loans sounds like a fair trade?) the Financial Institutions that greedily caused the Foreclosure Money Melt Down, 700 billion is foolish.
I am not an expert, obviously, but it would seem that if the Banks and Mortgage companies had not been so gluttonous in the first place that this whole thing would not have happened. They did not have the discipline to regulate themselves in 1999 what makes them have the discipline that they need to do the right thing now with the tax payers $700 billion?
Beyond that, why should we and our future generations have to pay for their fuck up?
The banks should work with homeowners, Freeze Foreclosures and take less on the loans by reworking them so people don’t lose their homes. They are capable of making 17 million salaries and more than that with bonuses, so I think that they are more than capable of bailing themselves out.

Bush Obama and McCain views:
Over View and History of what happened
This is what I said on The Tome and I stand by it on Saturday Knights as a follow up.
GW lied well to us this evening reading the prompter with the great ease of one who will be out of office soon; blaming the $700 billon decisions on a bi partisan bail out on no one but those who took the loans.
Shame Shame Shame
And that is doubled to McCain (The Shame) - for it is evident after the eloquent address read by President Bush that as with the Patriot Act - they are just going to do it. Bail the Big Dawgs out.
So John, time to get ready to debate. Congress, the Senate and then the President are going to give the dirty bastards the money - so get to your debate.
We do not have much to say about anything as American citizens. Washington does not need our vote on the bail out they are going to do it regardless.
So I want to hear the damn debate on Friday!

a brief informational on blowing & funny farms
Instructions:
Cover the eggs with water and boil on low for about 12 minutes
Cool the eggs by placing them in cold water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and ice. The baking soda raises the pH level and reduces adherence. If you choose not to use baking soda, be sure to move the eggs into cold water with plenty of ice immediately after boiling
Crack the top of the egg and remove a small piece
Crack the bottom (wide end) of the egg and remove a small piece
Hold the egg in your hand and blow vigorously into the narrow end of the egg, which will expel it out the wide end
Doesn’t get much easier than that! Just be ready to catch it when it comes out…
What can I say…maybe I need to go here for a stay.

"DUMB" has two meanings
A friend sent to this link to me via email:
whatawonderfulwedding
My response to my friend:
OMG
Now I could say a lot about that, but you might then take me for a leftist liberal snob.
His response to me:
At least they are living within their means, and have no pretentions about the glamour and glitz of a fancy smanchy whoop-a-la. They probably will stay married longer than most. Besides, I would much rather a nice fresh hot waffle over wedding cake any day.
My point in sharing this is that
A. Eweweee I am a snob evidently. I would rather never marry than marry in a waffle house.
B. I would kill myself before marrying anyone in that marriage party
C. I wonder why when I say what other people might be thinking I am labeled a snob.
D. I really want to know what the meaning of politically correct is.
I will admit that I can not “wrap” my mind around why Republicans are not really upset about Sarah Palin’s nomination as VP. They spouted all sorts of rhetoric about Obama’s lack of experience yet they are willing to embrace a woman as second in command that has nada none no actual Washington experience and the experience that she does have is based on being a Mayor for a city populated by a mere 7000 people and being a governor (less than 2 years) for a state that has a population that is less populated than an ant hill. It just does not make sense to me.
The group jumping up and down celebrating her nomination is the same group of folks who believe in that “family values” thang that they love to shove down the throats of us who have ”no family values”. So what do they think about a woman who has a challenged infant that she just gave birth to in April abandoning said infant to hold McCain’s hand while he campaigns? They think it is just GREAT! I don’t get it. Hypocrisy seems to be the only stable in said philosophy. The Fundamental Christians should be outraged that Sarah’s 17 year old daughter is not wed and pregnant. They would have crucified Hillary if Chelsea was 17, pregnant and not married. I go as far as to say they might have even called her a bad mother.
In conclusion I think I might, just might be having a bad hair day, but is sucks not to be able to tell people what I think without being labeled when clearly there is a label stuck dead center on the foreheads of supporters of Palin who are probably the same folks that get married at a Waffle House. So what does that label glued to their foreheads say?
It says:”_______________________ “
Vote for who you will, but don’t vote for McCain because Sarah Palin is a woman. The Republican Party tried to pull a fast one on women with Dan Quayle and won – it is insulting that they are trying and succeeding in doing the same with Palin.

A picture speaks...
yes that would be more than words.
Good luck to Galveston! It is even blowin so hard here that I had to wire my shutters, shutter to think what this will be like @ land fall. Good thing the message is just blowing in the wind. If you look at a rain radar, there is not much out there with this storm. The tidel surge is the only flooding concern.
Hey do they have crappy levees in Texas?
Hey lets see how FEMA treats Houston? Any bets being taken? well I bet that it's an even bigger cluster than NOLA and MS after Katrina. Why ? because there are like a couple million more people involved which just lends to bigger clusters than not.
good will hunting ?
I would never have anticipated agreeing fully with Matt Damon. Guess there is a first for everything.

Kryptonite?
12:30am Wednesday should prove very interesting. This is the time set for the members of CERN to turn on the Large Hadron Collider in the specially built tunnel on the French / Swiss Boarder.
Some are calling LHC the doomsday machine; some are calling it one of the greatest collaborations thus far in scientific research with the intent to explain the universe.
LHC is supposed to create conditions that were the same as those existing after that of the Big Bang. It will smash particles creating new particles which scientists hope will then be proof to the String Theory:
"String theory states that the fundamental building block of the universe isn't a particle, but a string. Strings can either be open ended or closed. They also can vibrate, similar to the way the strings on a guitar vibrate when plucked. Different vibrations make the strings appear to be different things. A string vibrating one way would appear as an electron. A different string vibrating another way would be a neutrino."
With words like Dark Matter, Parallel Universe, other Dimensions and Time Travel how anyone could not fine this “Fascinating” as Spock would say, is beyond me. Really crazy stuff! I am surprised that Religious groups who do not believe in the big bang are not all over this with protesting religious rhetoric...
Perhaps one on the biggest discoveries that the participating scientists hope for is proof of Higgs Boson, “The God Particle”; the particle that gives mass to all other particles. Steven Hawing is betting against it, implying that proof of Higgs would kind of take the fun out of the whole process.
I guess we shall just have to wait and see if LHC creates the small black holes that the doomsday people are predicting.
Anyway here is an interview the BBC had with Professor Hawing on the subject:
Professor Hawing
what a black hole created by LHC would look like.
