Can you afford to get milk?

Milk price are way up. New Orleans has the most expensive milk in the nation at $4.38 per gallon, according to the USDA.

I wonder why?

The article did not mention anything about other dairy products just milk. I am puzzled.

The LSU Ag Center is suggesting people combat the record high milk prices by buying some powered milk and mixing it up with water then mixing that with regular milk. "It will taste closer to normal milk, and you'll get it for a much lower price," says Dr. Heli Roy.

Yuck - the only thing nastier than milk would be powdered milk.

I don't buy milk so I guess it's that out of sight out of mind thing going on. You could always buy Soy Milk, which is what I have.

I haven't bought milk in forever, either. Did Soy Milk for a while until for some reason it started keeping me awake--perhaps due to the high protein levels when combined with the at-work caffeine levels?

I'll bitch a fit when they up the Mountain Dew prices higher. Don't fuck with my precious, the Reverend Golem say.

At least it costs more than gas.

rev: mountain dew is a can of man made chemicals so I doubt it will go up. Let's hope not at least

ih: but why is it so expensive i mean did the cows say they were not going to put out any more milk unless they get the same benefits as those happy california cows?

I have a buddy ship me boot leg milk from Mexican cows. They graze in the abandoned pot fields. So I get healthy bones and a little buzz with my cheerios. Life is good.

Ha

I think you should share some of that milk; it would go down well with my coffee. In fact it might even make me nice in the morning!

BP : Don't worry apparently it is just the New Orleans area that is paying $.50-.70 more / gallon? I still don't get it.

Kali: ME 2 can't stomach milk products.
